    I love the early descriptions in the chapter of Claire’s feverish observations, and of course Bouton keeping Claire company. I am rather squeamish, so I always end up skipping past the part where Raymond comes in and starts his healing process. So your discussion of those parts made me squirm, but there are some interesting things to ponder. Whew! On to better stuff!
