I love your podcast! I do think that the emotional distance between Claire and Jamie is difficult to read. But, it is something that lovers encounter from time to time in different degrees. The strength and love it takes to mend the gulf is what it takes to cement the relationship. It is the transition that pulls your heart strings both in real life and in the story of Claire and Jamie. I find this chapter most heartbreaking and most satisfying as far as the angst one feels while in love and in despair at the same time. Anyway, I love this chapter and have read it time and time again. Have I said too much?

I don’t think you have said too much, no. And I agree–this chapter is so painful, so emotional, yet so beautiful… Its intensity is palpable.

Thank you so much for listening and for leaving a comment ~G

  2. Elizabeth Graziano says:

The 18th was my 34th wedding anniversary and this reminds me of the strength it takes to make a relationship work, especially one with such love.
Great part to be discussing, for me at least.

  3. Kim says:

Love the in depth discussions! I am fairly new to OL and have never been so intensely absorbed into a story. Have read all the books once and am on my 2nd time. I will be listening in from now on! Great job ladies! And thank you!
