Great episode… won’t linger on that opening sequence (will do so privately 🙂 ) but I have a question: So Claire has seen Geillis naked, but no mention of seeing her “vaccination scar”. Maybe it was too dark. Would it still come into play? And also, much as I loved every scene that Simon Callow was in, I fail to see the need for the duel scene? I’d love to be enlightened.

Kerrie–thank you for commenting! Yes, it will be interesting how the show handles the scar. I’m thinking it was perhaps too dark.
Also not completely sure why they chose to introduce the duel. Wouldn’t the hunt have still been as effective, if the main point was to get Jamie away from Leoch? Or–maybe they needed to create more (and numerous) scenes/opportunities for the duke and Jamie or the duke and Claire to meet and speak?

  2. Debi Woolery says:

The dual scene with the Duke sets us up for Jammie and Claire to go to Lallybroch after the Witch trial and the Standing Stones.

  3. Anna says:

I was surprised of the changes… but then I remembered of the many that have not read the books and it made sense… So kudos to the script writers!!!!

  4. Maria says:

Did you catch Claire at the fairy fort? She asks Jamie to “take me home”. Following last episode Jamie declaring “You are my home now”. Referring to home as a place where the are both together rather than a dwelling ie Lallybroch.
